Elefant Tank

The Elefant tank destroyer was a heavy German vehicle used in World War II. Based on the Porsche chassis originally designed for the Tiger program, it mounted a powerful 88 mm Pak 43/2 gun capable of destroying enemy armor at long range. Despite its firepower and thick frontal armor, the Elefant suffered from mechanical problems, poor mobility, and weak close-defense capabilities. Only about 90 units were built, and they saw combat on the Eastern Front and later in Italy. Today, the Elefant is remembered as a rare and extreme example of German armored engineering.
