M4A3 Sherman
The M4A3 Sherman was one of the most important American medium tanks of the Second World War. Widely used from 1942 onward, it was valued for its reliability, ease of production, and mechanical simplicity, which allowed the Allies to deploy it in large numbers across many theaters of war. Equipped with a 75 mm or later 76 mm gun, the M4A3 Sherman was effective against infantry and lighter armored vehicles, while later variants improved its performance against enemy tanks. Although it had thinner armor compared to some German tanks, its mobility, crew comfort, and strong logistical support made it a crucial element in Allied victory.
