March 707

The March 707 was a lightweight Formula 2 single-seater introduced for the 1970 season by March Engineering. Built around a simple yet effective spaceframe chassis, it combined low weight with sharp handling, making it competitive on tight European circuits. Most cars were powered by Cosworth FVA engines, delivering strong, high-revving performance suited to the technical nature of F2 racing at the time. Its clean, purposeful design reflected the engineering philosophy of the era: minimal bodywork, exposed suspension components, and a focus on mechanical efficiency. The 707 played a key role in establishing March as a serious force in international single-seater competition.
