Japanese A6M “Zero”

The Japanese A6M “Zero” was a long-range fighter aircraft used by the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II. Introduced in 1940, it was highly maneuverable and very lightweight, giving it a significant advantage over many Allied planes early in the war. The Zero was famous for its speed, agility, and long operational range, but it lacked heavy armor, making it vulnerable in prolonged combat. It became an iconic symbol of Japanese air power and played a central role in battles such as Pearl Harbor and the early Pacific campaigns.
